Most of oranization were hostile-so I thougth he's going to teach them a lesson

:spank:

and what happend next?

Osirion HQ was ruined and 10 hover dogs gone out.

5 of game minutes and they destroyed it!

WTF

Why is it so weak?

I'm bored now <_<

The overspawn is actually quite tough, but the fact that it damages itself every time it ploughs into a building decreases its normal life span quite considerably.

I wouldn't normally worry about it unless it's dropped right next to one of your bases. It really helps your public relations with the other companies to just let it run amok in the city. Got allied with the Cult of Sirius briefly when an overspawn obliterated one of their temples.

Im sure the Overspawn is just another weapon in the Mothership/Battleship?. It's made to soak up enemy fire while trying to destroy the city at the same time. The main point of Mothers, and Battles is that they don't bother with Infiltrating as much, they just want to carnage the city (you've either done something wrong to frell them off that much LOL)

So.. the Overspawn is just another weapon, as it is a weapon it shouldn't really last long, I mean the Mothership should come with about 2 other ships of Bomber class right? And look at all the weapons on the Mothership and Battleship, that's the big damage disher..

Don't forget that suicidal Overspawn loses points on your behalf becuase it "damaged the city".

Actually, overspawns deployment is rather hit-and-run. I think they just want to drop the big baby spud into the city and see what happens from the safety of their own dimension. Cowards.

The capital ships do indeed perform inflitration missions. Really nasty ones that can sometimes generate a single map that takes up two full sized maps (imagine two slum complexes side by side), no matter the size of your squad. Tons of aliens like spitters and multiworms... ugh. But for a map that size and the ensuing carnage, it's a lot of fun. ;)

Also, yes, you do lose points for 'damage to the city'. But, on the positive side, everyone that was affected by the suicidal mindless rampaging overspawn will like you a lot more every time you attack the aliens thereafter. A great way to get companies that will no longer accept bribes, but have not yet fallen under alien control. Just a small price to pay. One or two well performed missions should balance off the damage to the city, or just blasting the UFOs to bits in the alien dimension should just about cover it and then some.

Dipstick no need to act like a dipstick... But he does have a point. It depends on where you stand at that point. By the time I get that far in the game I usually can't afford to let the city just be ravaged like a Catholic Nun. So I usually opt to destroy the buffoons. Besides in the process of destroying the Overspawn the city incurs massive damage anyway so I kill two birds with one stone...Literally.

Eh, the UFOs that respawn everyweek only give you about 3000 or so points. But keep it up and "and then some" comes in to play.

In fact, if you are capable of defeating the entire UFO fleet with your own ships (no matter what they consist of)- you've won the game.

I mean, by then you'll have full control for the rest of the game. You'll be able to tell when and where the aliens will be allowed to engage your troops. You can let UFOs through at will - or conduct smash-and-grabs on the alien buildings. The points from the UFOs alone will allow you unlock all the tech and research them at your own pace and build whatever you want with all the cash weekly cash bonuses you'll be getting. In fact, you'll eventually get to a point where the Government has to cut funding because they can't afford to pay you.

By then, the entire political side in Mega Primus also becomes irrelevent and you can ignore all city matters except when you are directly attacked or when you're forced to watch the suicidal gang hoverbike/car attacks on their enemies. Soldiers with 0 missions under their belt can be maxed by just leaving them in training. Etc, etc.

You just have to go through the motions and finish off the remainder of the alien buildings to end the game.
