Mods For Enemy Unknown

Those mods sound great but has someone tried these? I never do anything before someone else has done it so do these work and are they worth of installing? Any problems?
New weapons just sounds great for the game :rolleyes:

The Ufopedia cheat works. It makes the game much faster as you don't have to do any research. You can go to cydonia by the end January 1999.

The other weapons addon also work. My favourite is the one which changes your weapons to force projector etc. I think its the one by everday joe.


The weapons are worth the downloads. I cant tell you much about tTe rest of dl listed.

it would be cool if u tell us.
have u tried the mpa packs??
anything special in them or kind of houses and fields...


what do you suggest to get?

I started a new game, and saved as 1. Then i dled the 1.15 thing at top, dont know how it works with weapons but i extracted the soldier.dat into the saved game. then i used the research thing also. Then i used to one that changed 3 weapons. Should be a quick fun game of xcom :beer:

LOL, one of the opdates was cool: it changed most of the weapons to the weapons from doom! LOL


it also made the blaster launcher waypointless! :sly:

i didnt get a chance to try the shot gun or double barrel shot gun, but the new blaster launcher adds balance to the game. because you cant manuver it it doesnt fricken own it up dawg. and the ammo for it is two squars horizontally so you can pack a soldier down with a lot of ammo. i gave my sniper it and he had a 150 percent chance to hit :) which is basically what a blaster laucnher is anyway. you can only fire aimed shots with it which is weird :huh:

I've been thinking that it might be a good idea if somebody or a group of persons would post reviews, stats and useful comments on the xcom mods available. I've used quite a few of them and I think that this kind of information would be useful. in fact I think if somebody could gather all the known mods together and make them available it would help greatly. Your ideas, comments guys?

I know that, but as 'every game is original and different', it should still be fun. Also, what is the point in skipping everything?? Doesn't that just take the fun out of it?

Changing the weaponry means that new tatics will have to be used. One of my friends once said that changing the Stun Rod(which is mostly useless anyway) to a flamethrower would be awesome - not only would it do incidenary damage, but it would also require you to be somewhat close to use, and the added danger of accidently hitting something explosive and most likely causing damage/death to the soldier in question is also highly likely, as his opinion of such a mod would require a single fire mode be avaliable - auto shot.
