I donít know if any of you know about it or not but NASAís blue marble has 12 month images of the earth, they even have some animations but they are of globes.

Just have the image switch at the end of the month, this can be done during the end of the month screen or even better, fade between them especially if a night image is used.

The only problem would be how to pick the tile set for the battleview, by the way how is that going to be done any way.

If this is easy enough it could be in V1.

I would very much like to see that implemented. Don't know how possible that is though...

You could have it so that each tile in the random map has 4 modes: Spring, summer, autumn, winter. When it builds a random map, it uses the tileset for that area at that season.

That seems pretty elegant and not too complicated a feature. It could even have some effect on combat if thermographics are an important sensor.
