Narednik Igor
I see "some" of you have pretty big rank. That is ok. But how to get first rank?
Jenny
What exactly do you mean by rank? If you're talking about Xenocide Project ranks, you are appointed as a Project Recruit if requested. If you show commitment to the team, you'll be promoted to Full Project Member and assigned to a team (Programming, Art, etc..). As far as forum moderators/admins are concerned, these are hand picked whenever deemed necessary (as far as I know).
Jenny
I just realised you might be talking about the military ranks, Rookie, Sergeant etc. These go up with your post count. I'm not sure what the exact required amount is for every rank; It's just there for fun I think. It serves no real use.
Narednik Igor
Thanks. Just to know.
j'ordos
To become commander you'd only need to beat Stewart's post-count, 7000 posts (ok, almost 7000 posts )
Cpl. Facehugger
Let the spamming begin!
Deathskull
If you say so. SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM. Anyway, to be a squaddie you need 1-9 posts. To be a sargent you need to have 10-99 posts. to be a captain you need to have 100-999 post, i think.
Cpl. Facehugger
Nope. I was a colonel at 300. You see, the ranks follow the Xcom ranking system. So...There can be only one commander, and only a few colonels.
Robo Dojo 58
So, as more rookies join, there will be more colonels and hi-rank forum people?
Jenny
If it truly follows the UFO system, then it should
Black Dash
I got my rank of sargeant at 10 posts and the rank of captain at 100... I tought it was a Decimal Rank generator. Like 10,100,1000 etc...
SupSuper
I got my rank of sargeant at 10 posts and the rank of captain at 100... I tought it was a Decimal Rank generator. Like 10,100,1000 etc... and it is. you get Colonel at 1000. Commander comes after Colonel, you know
Narednik Igor
And when the posts counts. And what do you mean by post
Black Dash
But what about CPL... he said he was colonel at 300 posts. Maybe it's like he said, it follows the UFO ranking sistem.
Cpl. Facehugger
According to Stewart, the forum ranking system follows the game ranking system.

Jenny
Posts count on only a few forums, like the labs I think. And the correct spelling is selfish.
Cpl. Facehugger
3262 posts and counting. You see, for some reason (Spam?) Stewart decided to limit the post clocks to the xenocide forums.
[stewart]
Yes Mr. Facehugger why do you suppose I did that. Posts used to follow the Xcom ranking system, but I got tired of keeping up with it. Just list the users out in order of posts, it should be quite obvious when promotion occurs.
