x-com-reloaded (X-COM 1 & 2 remake)

Hi there! I was going to wait some more time before announcing my project, but since the cat is already out of the bag (http://openxcom.ninex.info/forum/index.php?topic=6.0) there's not much point in doing that anymore.

 

This must be the year of x-com -- first the creators of Bioshock announce their x-com branded sequel, and now we have not one but two x-com remakes with practically the same goal!

 

So here it is, my official announcement of my x-com remake called x-com-reloaded. My main goal of this project is to remake UFO and TFTD using the original data files and to keep with the original game as much as possible in both appearance and game logic. At some point I will introduce optional enhancements, but nothing that can't be turned off.

 

Here's a download link if you want to try it out -- just extract the archive to your xcom1 directory and run x-com-reloaded!
