Another bug in CE

UFO type: Skyranger

Alien race: The ultimate replication of blah blah blah

 

Clicking the button to get a visual on the UFO results in a spray of multicolored pixels on the interception window.

 

Sometimes crashes the game.

 

Has been happening since I started playing CE; roughly every 3rd retaliation mission.

 

Unavoidable?

I took a screenie just in case anyone else hasn't seen it yet.

 

 

It looks like a messed up Craft.dat is to blame (or more probably a screwed up executable). Don't know what causes it (overwriting a previous save, Sebs extender or possibly it's just that you have so many bases and craft). You could try finding an earlier save with the same number of craft present and then reapplying CRAFT.DAT to your corrupted save to fix it. If that doesn't do it, it's an executable problem.

Thanks, Zombie. This bug has existed since I first got CE working, so it's probably the exe. It rarely interferes with play unless I try to look at the craft, or NEED to know what the race is. Since I have a full fleet and Psi at every base, this hasn't been too much of a problem. Oh well, I may reinstall some time in the near future.
