    Welcome!

Thanks for all your positive feedback! j'ordos, you're right about the wallpapers. I'll try to have something a bit more in X-COM's colors next time I work on my site. I've been off the net for a while, but I'll try to put some efforts to bring my site back up to date. As for the games I've chosen to put on my site, I've decided to put only the official games developped by Mythos and Microprose. The only exception is Xenocide
  2. Welcome to my forum! Feel free to input any comments and / or questions here. be sure to check Arky's X-COM page at commanderx.xcomufo.com
  3. wow! 15 days without posts on the thread! Call Guiness Records!
  4. I know it's way from being complete, but here it is: [Heavy Plasma] Again, the aliens are showing us what they are capable of with a weapon of such firepower and precision. The Heavy plasma is the biggest in the plasma family we’ve encountered so far, and by judging from this one’s yield, we hope that it is the last one. Heavier than its predecessor, the Plasma Rifle, it is still much lighter than a Heavy Laser, which gives this assault weapon a distinct advantage when it comes to precision. Also, it features an auto-shot that normally is found only on rifles. The Heavy Plasma clip contains twice the amount of rounds than most of its counterpart and is impressively powerful. Easy to manipulate, it is very a formidable weapon to have in all kind of combat situations as soldiers do not have to reload often. While surely this will become the standard rifle in the ranks of X-Corp, unfortulately we are unable to reproduce this level of technology.
  5. better late than ever... Happy bday! :happybanana: :happybday:
  6. who was the last one to say "is this for real?" in this topic?
  7. The way I saw it, They were two entities, one being more powerfull than the other. The brain encountered on Mars is the weak one, although the T'leth one had been frozen in cryos for thousand of years, the Cydonian brain had ample time to develop itself. First I thought about queen and king, but that didn't sound right Edit: Typo
  8. How about a plain old cliché like "First contact"? or maybe the Mother's day's blood bath (or genocide or massacre)

hmmm.....what if its made this way. i know its a poor image, but you get the point. The doors lead up to the upper layer, where a lift takes you down to the lower. The upper is containment for terror units, the lower for navigators and the like. The other aliens are here and there. This way, you wont be able to shoot all the aliens. If theres room inside, it will be even better. That would come up to the colony supply ships in TFTD... not a bad idea... -_- (link to picture here) (you get on the top floor first, after you get below.) Could we make this a 3 floor ship?
  10. If you're using DOSBox, then use CTRL+F5. It will create a screenshot in the DOSBox directory.
  11. I would like to suggest another idea: T'leth could be the alien name for Atlantis. The aliens lives peacefully, then something goes wrong (I.E. second moon collides with the earth), and makes room for humans. T'leth sank into the deepest of the abysses, but a small portion of the Ammonites were able to escape in space. They set themselves on mars as a remote colony to prepare a rescue mission, but only to discover that we're in the way. In the end, they thought they could get rid of us to rescue T'leth, but because they failed they had no choice but to activate the tachyon beam, hoping that the T'leth aliens would have better luck against humanity.
  12. I refined MagicAndy's storyline. Any comments?Backbonestoryline__edit_from_Magicandy_.rtf
  13. IMO, it was too easy to skip the first two crafts in XCOM 1 & 2. We should research the first one, then manufacture it to be able to research the second craft. In UFO: Aftermath, it worked like that for some prototypes. It would be as if they learn by building the crafts, like getting better at each try, wich is closer to reality. But again, that's my opinion. -_-
