  1. If you register as a video "producer" on YouTube, they flag the 10min rule.
  2. I saw a speedrun of the final mission on YouTube once, but that was it.
  3. Exactly. There's a download there with all the neccessary files in it so if anyone so wishes, they're welcome to finish it off!
  4. I love Stun Bombs, Blaster Bombs, and Psi-Amps.
  5. Afraid not. It's been over 2 years now and I haven't touched it since. I couldn't figure out the modelling process. I posted many queries on the various HL2 mapping forums and still no one could help me. Out of frustration, I eventually just gave up. Shame really, I loved running around even the "un-furnished" map
  6. I'm glad I could be of service
  7. If someone was able to identify each sound, it would be nice to include a readme file listing them. I haven't played the game in that long, I don't really remember what half of them are from
  8. The attached ZIP file contains all the sounds (91 in total) from the 'SAMPLEx.cat' files in the 'SOUNDS' dir, converted to MP3. I don't know if this has been done before, but if it hasn't, then I hope you all enjoy! X_COM_Sounds.zip
  9. I was just wondering how old everyone was back in 1993/1994 when UFO/X-COM came out? I remember it distinctly. I was 14 and in Grade 10. I'd just gotten my first computer and a friend gave me the game to install... Ahh, the memories
  10. The Celatids don't land to attack. If they did, their firing arc would probably be a lot higher, stopping them from spitting indoors. I guess the landing animation sequence was just a redundant piece from an earlier version of the game that was left in because they assumed the public would never see it. P.S. I can't believe this thread is over 2 years old!
  11. For me it was mostly the sound and visuals. I loved the overall aesthetic and the aliens especially. Although, suspense does play a big part. I can remember many a night, playing a night Terror Site mission, lights off, on the edge of my seat, and freaking out when a Chryssalid shows up only a square from my best soldier!!
  12. I'd guess there's some crazy equation in there somewhere that factors in everything it possibly can so that it doesn't become noticable to the player. If it was simply a matter of time or points or research, I think someone would have figured it out by now. It has been 13 years since the game came out afterall
  13. I voted 'No' purely cuz I think it would make a better TV Show
  14. Yeah, Fraps captures it no problem. I'm running the Windows CE version though.
  15. There's a program called Fraps that captures games to AVI files. That would be the easiest way. That's what I use anyway.
