[dteviot] Posted August 1, 2007 Report Share Posted August 1, 2007 I'm contemplating giving Xenocide a new difficulty level: Sadistic.Basic rules:1. Aliens ONLY fly Battleships.2. Battleships are crewed by mixed crews of Ethereals, Chryssalids, Mutons and Sectopods3. All Humaniod aliens are armed with blaster bomb launchers. I think this would result in a better modeling of humans going up against a technologically superior enemy.In fact, as under these rules, most times the human players would be slaughtered, a successful mission might count has having one or two humans survive an encounter, with a alien artifact or prisoner to study. My favorite rule is mixed alien crews, but I think that's how it should be on any difficulty above easy (with differences to armorment etc.) anyway. I don't know how big the maps would be but presumably you hope to support more units on the maps so it might not hurt to up the terror unit count across the board too.
