hatfarm
So, here is Release Candidate 2. It fixes several bugs, one really big one where when you loaded Crafts.dat, it would give you the incorrect Name for the craft. There was also the bug of not being able to undo certain things. As well as other I encountered along the way. The big part of this RC is the loading of files from your copy of X-Com. Every graphic used in X-Com Hack is loaded from the game (except the two that said "NONE" in them). So, you'll notice that this build is probably the smallest any of them have ever been. Please grab it and let me know if you find any problems with it. I'm kinda surprised nobody noticed the craft name bug, as once I loaded a saved game with a bunch of crafts it became pretty obvious to me. It will probably be a while before I finalize a candidate to be the final product. I want to really make sure what I release is not incredibly buggy and I don't have a ton of time to devote to this. I will work on the requested feature of finishing the research currently being done, so that'll be at least one new thing in the next iteration, but it'll be a while. As I did with the last release candidate, I've got both the installer and the executable available for you to grab. hatfarm
Since it was always open source, and it's close to being a full release, I've decided to release the code for public consumption and input. I've created a SourceForge project for it and that will be where all of the updates come from going forward, so if you have something you'd like to help work on (even just cleaning up code, adding comments or whatever) then I'd appreciate your help. You can check out the project here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xcomhack/ Please let me know of bugs here or there. Thanks.
hatfarm
Yes, I'm still alive and still working on this. I'm pouring over the code to make as many improvements as possible (in my rare spare time), and I'll be releasing the final version of 3.0 sometime this summer, but I will still be busy this Summer so I'm not going to guarantee any date unfortunately. Hope you're all doing well. Please let me know if there's any problem with this current build.
Becket
Could you make it so you can edit all the soldier's base stats at once without changing their improved stats? Also, under soldier editing you have to double click a soldiers name to get it to change the soldier you're editing. You should switch it to one click. Becket
btw, I posted in a diff board a topic "how can I record x-com games" but no one has responded yet. You know of a good program?
hatfarm
If you mean record the video, this is the only program I know of: http://www.fraps.com/
Becket
Fraps doesn't work because X-Com doesn't use direct X.
