Missing Entries

As you're proofreading entries from the XML file, if you come across an entry either missing or incomplete, and cannot find the entry within the X-Net forum, post the entry title here. Then we'll know what's not done, and we can delete these posts as those entries are completed.

right, when working on the xml I missed a couple of entries,

for the time being, i'm just going to post what's not in the XML. Then i'll go looking for them, and post links to those I find. If I get the chance, i'll update that section of xml.

Yeah, this will be fun to get back up to date. Work is pretty heavy right now, so my time is a bit limited.

 

I think it's a good point though, that for those proofing work, we need to not only use the XML text, but double check that it's the most up-to-date from the forum threads too. After discussing it with RK, we'll be putting the entries back into XML format but split into each category the way RS split it for us. So all the facilities are in 1 file, and the aliens are in another, etc. Once we have those newer, proofed XML files, I'll look at updating the CTD asset list to link directly into the XML file. I'll probably just use some javascript to make a popup window which displays the text, or continue updating the X-Net web viewer to display it. I'd prefer to just use a popup though, since the viewer also loads the models and takes more bandwidth to use.

 

Thanks again for the nice list RS, it definitely helps us keeps things organized!

I think that the plasma weapons come in 3 sizes- pistol, rifle, and heavy.

 

Also, the grenade, smoke greanade, alien grenade, proxy mine, and PSI probe are not guns. I think they will be better classified as equipment.

 

Or, the "throw me" items could be their own subset, since there are a lot of them.

I'm not sure if this has been taken out of Xenocide, but I was wondering about the Psi-Lab found in the original X-com. This is different from the Mental Shielding Facility in that it reveals your soldiers' psi aptitude and trains their psi skills instead of masking a base's psi emanations.

 

I can't find any threads about it (not even on the asset list); having it would help me check for inconsistencies in the Psi-Amp entry.

 

If a Psi-Lab entry is needed, I can write one up.
