Didn't I tell you to equip your skyranger wisely??

. Although you don't have a base, you can still go to the base screen, and choose the equipment on your skyranger (if you have xcomutil, you can also assign soldiers to the interceptors). You can't buy any new equipment/soldiers/... and you can't reequip the craft weapons (after a few hours the game suddenly seems to realise you actually don't have a base and thinks there's no equipment anymore, so the weapons don't have time to rearm)
edit : you can't take every weapon on your base tho, not enough room (80 items limit), but who needs 5 pistols anyway

edit2 : playing some more : medium scout appears : downed above sea, terror ship appears, but does nothing

. Another medium scout appears, again shot down above sea

. But then : next mission up : terror site vs. floaters@day.
right at the beginning I can spot 3 aliens, 2 floaters and 1 reaper. Good thing my rocket launcher was located at front

. But the missile only kills one floater, so I take out the other floater with a rifleman, throw a grenade at the reaper, and a smoke gren. in front of the skyranger. Next turn, reaper hasn't moved, not affected by the grenade, it seems. The rifleman takes it out with two auto shots (stunned only, not death) as the rocket just
might explode against the side of the skyranger.
