cyberdrift
Hi all, Please refrain from checking in any code changes until I have had a chance to label his initial check in in CVS. I am writing this from work, so I am not sure of the status of the check in, but I really would like to get a label on the initial version before anyone changes anything. Once I have labelled everything, I will write a new message saying everything is good to go. Thanks!!!
Guest stewart
For admin purposes why don't we make Cyberdrift and RK the sole admins of the CVS database. As such they can lock the database for things like this. I'd say just Cyberdrift but if he gets hit by a bus we'd need someone else to have control too. cyberdrift
Hey! I got some moves, buddy! Those buses don't stand a chance with me in the open field. Actually, I'd like to have someone else able to undo whatever damage I inflict on the base, so that sounds like a good idea.
gangsta
well I know I haven't been around much lately but I think more than two people should have admin access to CVS. The reason being is that I think that you need admin access to make directories on CVS and it could really slow things down when someone is working on a specific part of the project and has to ask for a directory to be created before going on. I think someone with admin access should know what they are doing CVS wise but having created part of the directory structure of the current CVS tree I know that the person say responsible for the AI code might want to create a subdirectory to represent a subnamespace might want to create that directory on the fly. Unless it has changed the directory structure is dependent on the namespace structure.
red knight
Rights can be given to any member in a specified fashion using access lists, there is not a problem in that area... What is means is complete access to the whole project for building and labeling procedures.. GreetingsRed Knight
gangsta
Still think it should be more than just two people. As is now I don't think any of the admins have really hurt the project by messing things up.
