7Saturn
I tried to program a tool, that shows me how many points I would get/lose, if I play against a player, with the specified ELO-score. But I have a problem. As I allready wrote in the "Server Statistics Page"-topic, I don't know, how exactly the ELO-Score is calculated. I did read the article on wikipedia, but at least there's one variable, the "K", that I don't know. I'm also not sure, if it is really exactly calculated like in wikipedia shown. Is the formula E=1/(1+10^((Rb-Ra)/400) really used this way? And what is the K in this formula: R'=Ra+k*(Sa-Ea) Is it 35, or 25 or what else? I would be happy, if someone could expain it to me. 7Saturn
ELO? THere's an Electric Light Orchestra score? Explain. ELO has absolutely nothing to do with "Electric Light Orchestra". Look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system Or athttp://ufo2000.xcomufo.com/results.php It's the score, that is supposed to show, how good or bad a player plays. But I have absolutely no clue, where the diffrences between the chess-ELO and the UFO2K-ELO lies.
