Mustang
I voted for battleship because of all the aliens to kill and all the Elerium I can get out a bunch of landed ones, I never run out of elerium since I found out I should take on landed ones Edited February 15, 2004 by Mustang
mikker
The craft i like most, is medium scout. I think it is the hardest ship, because you have to sacrefice a rokiee to just open the door <_ . of cause it is no prob after you get blaster bombs> i remember when i moved my captain (now commander) inside, and there were 3 aliens. APAA (p is power supply. A is alien) He shot his HE autocannon with autoshot, and killed the loot! Weee!
Deimos
I voted supply ship as it's got lots of goodies (as long as it landed and I didn't :uzzi: it down with my fusion cannons ) For sheer tactial fun nothing beats a fully stocked large scout. If I'm feeling vindictive (most of the time ) then I like to pound terror ships heavily from the moment I spot them on the old HWG. I'll send two of the heaviest craft after them with the biggest weapons and make sure it goes down hard. Then I'll send in the heaviest hitting squad I've got and pound some alien butt. I won't use blaster bombs though, oh no make it all up close and personal so they know who did it to them  Can't you tell what my earliest memory of playing was, yup getting my donkey handed to me with a bunch of greenbacks on a night terror mission. I never get tired of this game Muhwahahahaha!

Freelanc3r
i like the large scout. its not that big - it can take 2 guys to clear it. but it has enough goodies and is easy as well battleships are just ridiclously large and take effort and planning to do it. even if you do get lots of goodies
j'ordos
I'd say Large Scouts, they allways stay interesting: not too small, not too big and some chokepoints/open areas
GreatGold
Hey - I say BattleShips, hands down. Even if I lose a few operatives, I more than make back the investment in terms of sold items. Also, I can capture some useful alien types while I'm at it. Gold
j'ordos
I meant the tactical fun of it If it was about getting points or equipment/goodies/... I'd say Supply Ship or Battleship though.

j'ordos
I don't get those often, and the same goes for harvesters Could you Xenocideguys at least make sure every UFO-type comes along regularly?
Breunor
I liked the massive bloodshed of battleships, bug score at the end of those missions! More of each ship? hmm... why not have them deploy like any naval fleet would? Supply ship is escorted by a couple scouts, etc. Then you can choose which ufo shoots you down! GreatGold
Bruenor - You laugh at that idea, but I really do like it! That would be excellent, and a lot more interesting. Also, then their craft could intercept YOUR craft! Gold
miceless
That would be so good. Take out the fighter cover first and then go for the transports! ::
Cpl. Facehugger
I voted small scout because it reminds me of those cheesy fifties style ufos with the legs. Sure you get next to nothing from it, but it is fun to be hunting a single alien in the wilderness. I like to imagine his thoughts: " Ahh! Theyre after me! I'm all alone, I'm not going to make it!" Most of the time they don't make it
Guest Jim69
Yeah, that'd be sweet. I always did wonder why the UFO's never attacked u. I always come up with some BS reason like "Hey, they don't care about u, they only attack when cornered" Then I just realised it was probably just a bug. Then, u would have to send some interceptors to escort the skyranger 2 UFO crash sites. New btn, Escort. Sweet
Ancalagon
Maybe they can do that in project Xenocide. I voted small scout cause you never have to send a crew down Edited August 9, 2003 by Ancalagon
miceless
Supply ship. Lots of Elerium if you follow them to bases and get em landed. Without them I would be short of Elerium.
Pallidar
Battleship for me. usually only 50 E-115 gained (100 if I'm REALLY lucky) after shooting them down, but the equipment gain is fantastic.

Cmdr. Luke
Personally, I love the terror ship. It's kind of unique compared to the other ships, and I love not knowing if an alien is going to drop down from the second floor (in those two openings). And it's always a chance going into the ship if your going against the body snatchers (Chrysilliads*).
Robo Dojo 58
Why bother shooting down the battleships? It seems like a waste of ammo and fighters to me. I just let them land, raid them, and truck them back to base. 200 Elerium every time! Every once in a while, I get three battleships at once... Every single one landed, and I'll capture 600 elerium and alloys in one week! :: Well, I lost India in the process, but it was just too big an opportunity to pass up. After all, battleships are simply bigger supply ships...

Robo Dojo 58
After all, battleships are simply bigger supply ships... with sectopods and blaster bombs! Except when they're floater battleships. Then they're a free gift to X-COM! I've never had problems with sectopods and bb's. A few smoke grenades gets rid of opportunity fire, and my elite PSI-squad turns their bb's into MY bb's. The sectopods aren't so tough either, one PSI-amp, and I get an elite tank on the field. Sectopods are even better than X-COM tanks, because you can take them over four times, and they get full TU's each time. With 8 autoshots in one turn, they become invincible! Unless they shoot themselves. :crying:
TopDawg540
My own personal favorite is the terror ship. It lets me bypass a terror site so I dont have to worry about civilians and crash sites will have less hiding places than a cityscape. I can send in my tanks to search and destroy both in and around the UFO with soldiers covering the rear and flanks. Optimal for some of the nastier terror weapons. Striker
I love terror ships. If you attack them with a Firestorm and only use one plasma cannon, you can usually keep the power cores intact but there will be a hole or two in the ship, leading to the upper level.
