Greetings

Having thoroughly read the forums and ufopaedia site it still is a mystery to me
How does the armor work in cityscape?
I heard that in battlescape it is substracted from shot damage (like ufo1)
(by the way is it true?)
But ships have very big armor values like 64 but damage of a beam weapon is around 12-20?
So is the formula different in this case?

Thanks

I think the armor value was divided by 6 and then that amount is substracted from the damage. It's not the total armor that counts, but the armor of whatever side is hit. Don't remember how battlescape armor worked though.

Ah yeah i remember now, its divided by 6 since they have armor for front back left right top bottom and for some craft it differs on one side from another.
