First Person Shooter Mini-mod

Hi,

 

Ive been playing Xcom for far to long and always promised myself I would make a Mod for it, Ive been thinking of a "Weapons" Mod for a FPS.

 

Currently working on the Blaster Launcher almost complete.

 

I was wondering what FPS people play or would like to see this incorporated?

And also if you could let me Know what weapon you'd be interested in seeing next completed.

JKDF2 (if you dont know what that is trust me you wont be able to mod for it ;))

Lets see, what else..

 

Im just trying to think of games which would actually be a possibility for this, but I am indeed at a loss, although Morrowind does indeed have a good physics engine, but that would also take a crapload of work xD

 

 

Edit: Brothers in Arms, now That has a system which you could use for some serious tactical maneuvers o=

And then it would even have Online Capability, which would be lovely ^^

 

Greys Vs Humans anyone?

Half Life or the new Frontlines game. Both has military (xcom) and we only need to mod an alien side to fight against.

 

Actually, the BEST game would be a mod of a mod: Half Life : Natural Selection! That mod has aliens vs humans with built in RTS build mode. Modify the RTS section with Xcom Tech tree to start! Balance would be important to keep the game fun but its already built so more resources could be used to make it more xcom like.

Thanks for the input guys, Just to give you a better idea, I have no intensions of doing anything else than the weapons (looking at getting around 9 to fill the slots in fps game), maybe if weapons are done, something else.. but thats a big IF. Will be doing Alien Grenade though its nice and simple.

 

Gonna have a look at half life engine, as it seems popular straight off the bat, still open to suggestions.

Update Time!

 

Ive changed picture in first post to what the gun will be, including the smaller details (resolution is crap but u get the idea).

Ive also decided to make this Mod for Half-Life 2 Source Engine, as it seems HL original modding tutorials are slightly dead in the water and HL2 looks way cooler.

 

The good news is Ive managed to do a test and have learnt how get them ready for HL2 and view them as they would be in-game.

 

The bad news is might be awhile away from making them actual weapons but there's loads of crap tutorials Iam bound to make it work sooner or later and also building my own reference tutorial for the extra weapons.

 

Ill be working to make Blaster Launcher firable and in game and then give you another update.

 

@Gufu that doesnt make sense are you refering to a particular game?
