This is the thread for the art department to start drafting concept art for this major screen. 2D art, after we settle down on how it must look we are going to put that in an issue for SupSuper's Gui Team to work out the details of the implementation.

Yes, in the Activity by country I dont know what country we are looking at unless you have the Countries drop list opened. I would move in another direction for that. Checkboxes maybe?

Another issue is the actual names of the dialogues under the statistics menu. It is not clear what charted statistics are, and I have no clue what data visibility is... and I just took a university level statistics course. Names like graphs and regions may be more appropriate. Edited by fux0r666

I'm planning on using 2 or 3 letter abbreviations so I think we can easily fit in about 15 to 18 countries... beyond that how many do we really need since UFO defense only had 16 countries and a total option. and it's not hard to expand the length of the key if we fine we need more room. ok here is a version showing how it would look with 17 options down there.

I think we have enough space to fit in the 3 letter country abbreviations if necessary though it will cramp the space a bit more than I'd like.

i think it would be very hard to see what is what. :OhBrother:

maybe if you make a tool box appear on rollover that says what country it is.

Tooltips... More nifty features for the poor programmers to implement
Nevermind, I think it would be really nice to have since those abbreviations might be hard to understand sometimes (what the heck does US mean, btw????)

Depends on how flexible it will be concerning custom layouts. We've seen how hard it can be to adopt those widgets to our needs with the scrollbars.

Move to a simple version first. When CrazyEddie has tooltips in place (and mature) we can go improve in that area. For now I would be more than satisfied with this approach.

- Remember we need to be able to disable some clicking on the keys too.

I would rather make the color coding of countries shown on graph dynamicly choosen depending on how many countries are shown, and then limit the number of viewed countries to 8 or 10, to help with visualization (if you can imagine how will chart look with 15 or 18 graphs drawn, then you're know what I'm thinking of).

My 2 cents :)

I'm not concerned at how many you guys deicide to put in there, but we do have room to fit in 18 if we need it.

ok here is the sliced png for programming.... the blank panel will become the basis for the buy/sell (transactions) screen.

That will leave a combined panel for research and manufacturing.
