I managed to shot down all the UFOs (Large Scout, Supply Ship(s), Terror Ship and Battle Ship) long before they even reached UK, but when the month ended what do I see? "UK has signed secret pact with alien force and withdrawn from project." Is it possible to prevent it anyhow? Robo Dojo 58 Posted April 18, 2004 Report Share Posted April 18, 2004 Any alien bases will rack up infiltration points in the surrounding countries.When there are enough points, an infiltration ship will come. When you see it, and the alien score in that country is high enough, you've basically lost them to the aliens. I dunno if shooting down the ship will do any good. If you have enough troop transports, you can get each of the battleships as they land. There's no need to shoot them down. If you did, you'd probably lose a few ships, and alot of Elerium. You can get countries back? I've never seen that ever! Yeah, I lost Russia a few times. On topic. I've cheated and built a huge earth wide web of bases, radar et al, loaded for bear with Avengers, shot down every UFO, and still bases appeared and countries left. Quantifier Posted October 19, 2004 Report Share Posted October 19, 2004 in old non-patched version of ufo i once got south africa and japan back. they got infiltrated and ceased to pay me, and 6 months later started to pay me again, after another 6 months stopped, etc.they always gave me the same amount of money they were giving me when i lost them. i think i've still got that savegame somewhere, if anybody's interested.
