Aeneas Posted October 1, 2004 Report Share Posted October 1, 2004 hi guys. at the beginning I apologize for being a DAU (that is german for: the most foolish user ever known) and not being able to use as well x-com 1 and the search-engine. it is my first time I play xcom 1. years ago, all my friends have been playing the floppy-disc-version but I dedided to wait "some time" and to have my xcom-coming-out these days with the collector's edition. well, I started with medium grade and luckily found this alien-comander in his base. so I researched the Cydonia-topic. but how may I get there? game runs on and on as if nothing would have happened. my soldiers grow stronger and stronger and there is no mission left I wouln't win easily within a few minutes. I avoided detection by all of the aliens by using my motion detector until I got to the final room. I then mind controlled 2 ethereals and used THEIR blaster bombs to kill the brain. Either you're a big fan of Metal Gear Solid, or you're incredibly lucky! Quite a fitting end to the Alien Brain, but jeez... I sure do envy your sneaking skills.
