Mission abort - Soldiers still alive

Hello there and a happy new year !

 

I started a new game and a strange bug occured.

If i abort a Mission without anyone in the Skyranger, the battle results show me the Alien casualties and the loss of the Skyranger, but not the loss of the soldiers.

The soldiers are still at the Base they were coming from but assigned to the ship "Weapon-1."

 

If someone is in the skyranger while i abort, everything works correctly.

 

I searched for this bug, but did not find anything about it. Is it a common bug?

 

I play X-Com1 European Version 1.2 with XComutil

Haven't seen a case of that with the vanilla game, so it it might possibly be XComutil mischief to me. Weapon-1 would probably be because the Skyranger no longer exists.

 

I'd like to see if I can replicate it. What Xcomutil options, if any, are you using? And also what does the game say (who is inside/outside the transort) when you abort when everyone's outside the Skyranger?

Yes you are right.

When I run the game without xcomutil everything works correctly.

 

I use the following xcomutil options:

 

- alternate starting base (I edited the design in the cfg file)

- auto equip soldiers

 

 

The battle results after aborting without anyone in the Skyranger:

 

xy Aliens killed

X-Com craft lost

 

The points are also calculated this way.

 

The battle results with someone in the Ranger are the normal ones.
