besides that it would be xnx not xnu for Xenocide is not X-Com. .... Anyway I'm happy with a lame name like Team Xenocide cause quite honestly whenever somebody here comes up with an acronymn for this group it sounds forced besides just sounding lame.

Project: Xenocide sounds the best IMO for the game name. Your goal is to kill the aliens... your project is xenocide.

I've been putting some thought into this recently and having the development team name and the game name the same is a little cheesy IMO so with that in mind I've been thinking up some developer names.
IE
IDEF- International Developers
IDEP- International Developement Project
IDET- International Developement Team
tIGOD- The internnational gathering of developers
MGD- The multinational gathering of developers
SOFB- The Sociecty of fan based developers
MOD- Multinational Organisation of Developers
What do you guys think. I do think it's important to have an identity as a development team rather than a group of fans remaking a game, though that works too GOFRAG

Most of them sounds a little cheezy to me, but i do not doubt that creative people here will find better ones... By the way i like the idea of showing that this is multinational effort.

I like the idea of an international slightly underground feel.
"The Network" has a mysterious ring to it.
"devnet" - hmmm, bit geeky
Perhaps instead of "version1" we should be aiming at "subversion1"

Lets clarify what we are talking about here is this:
1 ) the name of the in-game organization.
2 ) what we, the actual developement team, will call our selves?
If we are talking about 2 ) I really like Gangsta's suggestion of XNX (Xenocides Not X-Com)!
If 1 ) we all know my vote is for The X-Corps!

For the in game organisation 1) It has to sound like it comes from the black op's. I can't think of anything that fits for that.
For 2) XNX is cool but it doesn't show that we're an international team. Unless XNX has a world spinning behind it with little lights on the map pulsing on and off with the areas we all come from.
I was thinking for the start of the game we have the intro start up like a film with the dev team name coming up first. Then go into the intro and then the game.
