A note to readers: This is a fair, and balanced poll. This is not meant to spite Cpl. Facehugger in any way. Nope. Not at all. He likes the fusion gun, and that's his choice. It's not like he has to sit there and watch his city, country and planet burn to the ground, while he has nothing but a lousy gun, with an even lousier fusion core.
Er, hem. So, readers, what do you think of the worlds crummiest gun? Is it bad, or what? Please vote, and if you're a friend of Cpl. Facehugger, tell him you picked #1! :wink:

Thanks for adding those extra options. If forgot about people who didn't have Enforcer. I guess the best option that the Fusion gun can have is completely neutral.
If anyone votes on the last option, :: I think I'll duck and run for cover!

You will have to pardon me posting this late into the game - but what's wrong with the fusion gun? What about the... er, I forget what it was called. The thermal reduction gun? Ice gun? I'll call it the ice gun for simplicity's sake.

At least with the fusion gun, you can blow away any bosses you just so happen to run across, even if the hundreds of balls do fly everywhere (and get the hundreds of sectoids that spawn all over the place). Every time the enforcer 'accidentally' picked up an ice gun (usually while I'm in the middle of using a superior weapon) I'd mentally rip my hair out.

Even at level 4, it does paltry damage to enemy bosses. You often have to run about like a headless chicken until you can pick up something worthwhile. Against normal enemies, it's okay, but the solid block of ice stays around for a bit too long and really get in your way.

Heck, I can probably do more damage with the Enforcers default laser pistol/autocannon in the same amount of time as I would with the ice gun. It's that bad.

Second time through the game (on the hardest setting, to get to the ethereal), I refused to research the ice gun. It was a worthwhile investment, actually. All the extra data points went into upgrading the other weapons and enforcer upgrades.

Oh, alright, there are better weapons than the fusion gun. But I think the one that deserves the most scorn would still be the ice gun.

Don't worry, I don't really take offense to much really.
Although I still perfer the fusion gun to the grenade launcher (mostly due to range, and the look of the gun. )

Yeah, the fusion gun looks pretty nice, but you just can't go on an unbridled rampage with it, which you can do with the grenade launcher.
The grenade launcher is like a giant snow plow- everything in your path gets obliterated, even the biggest of baddies. And you can't deny the great thrill of jumping around, doing bombing raids with 40-50 grenades. Much more fun than nukes, it is.

The Ice gun is much better than the flame thrower. At least the aliens don't do so much damage to you when you get cornered with it, compared to the gentle blue flame of watered down alcohol. Its an okay "run-away!" weapon, at least. :wink:

Personally I don't know what fusion gun is, nor am I Cpl. Facehugger. Strangely, we've got 4 Cpl. Facehuggers around...

Thats CTDs! the alien origins wern't finnished! They were JUST as importent as the ones in the front. (<-me slamming my head into the floor)
