UnFleshed One
Here is the AN INFANTRYMAN'S GUIDE TO COMBAT IN BUILT-UP AREAS.Since most battles in Xenocide will be in built-up areas (cities, bases or UFOs), we should implement most of the stuff described in chapter 5 (Sec I, Movement). Soldiers must be able to move crouching, climb fences, jump, enter windows, peek around the corner and throw grenades on calculated angle (like in Laser Squad Nemesis). And grenades should be bouncing, not sticky like in original . Edit:(Why did it make "US" into "Us". And even "U.S." into "U.s." ) Edited October 20, 2005 by UnFleshed One
Guest Azrael
Edit:(Why did it make "US" into "Us". And even "U.S." into "U.s." )<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Forum setup, it makes the first letter of every sentence caps and the rest lower case, no matter what you do, it can get annoying.. sir_schwick
I also thought that useful equipment would include breeching charges for doors and walls. Alien alloy expanding Ladders could be useful, along with grappling hooks. Finally, High Explosive and alien equivalents should have allowed more useful demolition, as in more shaped explosion. Another close combat skill would need to be dropping your legs from under you if under fire. It could be a reaction toggle, so that if fired upon your soldier would try to drop to the ground and be ready to fire back.
