Ketonur
Hmmm i have stopped playin UFO2k about 2months ago. This was caused by terrible bug that i have disovered. I thoght: "dont tell anyone to dont destroy fun of other peoples" but now, when the project is movin i can post this post So: Try to put your floater above your unit and kill him... Unit that stood under flyin fellow is now invisible for the opponent (as long as U dont move it) and can fire, spot units etc. Terrible bug... Cheaters will be in seventh heaven. Please do sth with it. Its very urgent imho Ketonur Edited February 28, 2007 by Ketonur
Serge
You can always submit a 'private' issue at http://ufo2000.xcomufo.com/mantis, so it will be visible to developers only
Brick-To-Face
The floater will still be visible, but only at an angle. Imagine a floater above your head, can you see him? No. At an angle you can. Also, one of the recent betas had a max of 16 levels, but that has been changed, level 16 cannot be seen from level 1 at ANY angle, but that will not be an issue now, unless someone makes a 16 level map that is mostly clear of structures. Ketonur
Serge --> Sorry, didnt know it Now it's too late i think Brick-To-Face ---> The unit that stood under floater is invisible i meant. Try it and U will see. "Try to put your floater above your unit and kill him... Sporb
this bug is known i beleive (im sure i put it in the vivisility bug area on Mantis) Units should be able to see a floater above his head but a floater should not be able to see an unit below him in a certain area (IE cant see anything directly under him in a 3 Square radius) in my opinion since its so easy for flyers to spy on people like that
Voller
I don't think this is what Ketonur is getting at. If I understand him correctly the unit that was under the floater is invisible for any of the opponents units. It's not about if you can see the floater or the floater can see you. The floater doesn't care, it's dead. Edited March 1, 2007 by Voller
Ketonur
Voller ---> egsacly. My english isnt as good as it was but i think that i wrote it clearly. FLOaTER ISNT INVISIBLE, THE UNIT THAT STOOD UNDER HIM IS INVISIBLE FOR ANY OPPONENT UNIT AFTER KILLIN HIM.
Brick-To-Face
My bad, I guess that is a big problem, but most of the people who play are cool, and don't cheat, since there are a few well-known methods, but it ruins the game.

It doesnt happen a whole lot but it is a nasty bug. Report it on mantis if you can. Edited March 2, 2007 by Sporb
