Whitewashed
I just happened to view the boards online list and noticed that several guests were browsing the workshops. I'm just wondering how this is possible as at least when I'm not loged in I can't access the workshop.
[stewart]
Could you be specific about what you saw, I just checked the permission mask for guests and they do not have access to the workshops.

[[Micah]]
That topic in particular, and a lot of the ones that are showing positive development, are being linked to from the Xenocide website. So anybody (a guest) can click on the link, but they will get a "you do not have permission to view this page" error. In order to reach that page, however, they still had to make a 'hit' on that topic, making the board think there is a guest active on that topic. Make sense? Try loggin out and clicking one of the news links on the main website.
Whitewashed
Ah, that explains it. I hadn't noticed you had started posting news about our progress on the site. Why link to the forum though when most site visitors aren't registered to the forum? But maybe it makes them register when they notice they can't view the links otherwise? Sneaky

But registration isn't asking anything because we don't use the persons email address for anything, and it only takes a second.
Cpl. Facehugger
Do they get a "To view this, you must register" reply, or more of an "You don't have permission to view this topic" reply?

Cpl. Facehugger
Done. It gives a "You don't have permission" message. You may want to put something that says "To get permission, please register."
[[Micah]]
Read some more of the news. Perhaps I'll repeat more repetitively what several of the news items say already.
