Chris StarShade
For some odd reason, whenever I play X-Com: Interceptor, something bizarre happens and my CD-ROM dies. I went through 2 CD-ROM drives before I just plain quit playing the game. It was most irritating. Of course, that was on my LAST computer... will it do the same to this computer? *looks at computer and sees CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, and CD-RW* If it does, it won't be a total loss. I wouldn't take the risk in that case
[dipstick]
It definitely shoudln't do that, I suppose it is probably something to do with drivers or software being moved, rewritten or just plain deleted In any case, why don't you find an alternative copy, maybe it is corrupted or has a virus on it or something. Chris StarShade
Actually, what would happen is the motor would stop spinning. This happened to two different drives on an older computer. I haven't used the older comp in aeons at this point, but at the same time... I haven't had a real reason to go back to Interceptor. Never fear, though, I'll play it again. I just have to decide whether to play it before or after I attempt Apocalypse. haha If worse comes to worse, I just get a virtual CD-ROM program, and copy all the files to the Virtual CD-ROM and problem solved.
