[[Micah]]
The Active forumThis forum is for threads that are currently being worked on either by task forces or individuals. These threads should be priority topics, but are not necessarily. a Competed archiveThese forums, preceeded by their appropriate department titles, are for completed tasks and threads. an Outdated archiveThese forums, preceeded by their appropriate department titles, are for threads that no longer apply to what we are doing with Xenocide, but still have some relevancy in the fact that they show work we did on previous alphas or general project history. These threads are not garbage, but rather currently irrelevant. Not very many threads will fit this category. be left here in unsortedThe threads that do not fit the above categories are to be left in this unsorted forum. There will be a lot of them, yes, we know this. We have plans for the addition of another forum in which we will move more threads and assign them their own task forces and/or priority numbers. Any questions, feel free to reply in this thread.
mikker
wouldn't it look very unsorted if everything from all the groups go into "active"? Are you making subfolders for each group?
[[Micah]]
Nope, we're not. If you think about it, how many fully active workshop threads are there really, at the moment? 10? 15? The point is to put them in one place so everyone and their grandma (no offense to the grandmas among us) can see what we're working on on one page without digging through 20 different forums to find it. Also, it should be a little easier to coordinate between each of these active work threads. We as project members should also do our best to join a task force and focus out efforts on the priority tasks that they represent. If an inactive thread becomes suddenly active, we will move it to the active tasks form. If an active thread is completed, we move it out to a completed forum. If an active thread dies, we move it out to unsorted (aka inactive).
[[Micah]]
In addition to my previous post, the senior members will be browsing through the unsorted topics and also creating new ones and then prioritizing them and assigning task force instructions to them. Then, when a task force completes its assignment, there will be another list of tasks waiting for members to join them.
Guest Azrael
WORKSHOPS ORGANISATION--Active--These subforums are for threads that are currently being worked on either by task forces or individuals. These threads should be priority topics, but are not necessarily. Active is divided among Programming, Sound, Artwork, Creative Text, and some long-term Taskforces like Alien Concepts and Proofreading. --Competed--These forums, preceeded by their appropriate department titles, are for completed tasks and threads, as active, they are divided among the different departments. --Unsorted--The threads that do not fit the above categories are to be left in this unsorted forum. There will be a lot of them, yes, we know this. We have plans for the addition of another forum in which we will move more threads and assign them their own task forces and/or priority numbers.
