SupSuper
i believe that the stats window should provide more details on each score change, with a [+]/[-] button next to each one to show/hide details and showing quantities of certain stuff. here's an example of what i mean (scoring values and names are made up). UFO-8 sucessfully recoveredITEM......................................QTY....SCORE[-]X-Corps Soldiers Killed..........2.......-80 |-Sergeant Micheal Nickwit....................-40 '-Rookie Janet Brook............................-40[+]X-Corps Soldiers Wounded*..1.....-10[+]Alien Bodies Recovered.........5......150[-]Alien Equipment Recovered....13....120 |-Plasma Rifle..............................4.......60 |-Plasma Rifle Clip.......................8........40 '-Psionic Probe.............................1........20[+]UFO Technology Recovered...8......360 TOTAL................................................460 RATING> EXCELLENT! *may not effect score, but it's useful to show Edited May 12, 2004 by SupSuper
Robo Dojo 58
That's definately something which is needed. The debriefing should provide all the info on how you did on the mission. Too often I've had good people die, and I wouldn't know about it until I do the next mission. In addition to the names of the agents who died, it should include their rank as well. It'd also be nice to list the aliens that you have captured, as that is pretty important.

j'ordos
You should be told which soldier just died as well, because often there's some movement and the screen jumps around a bit, and suddenly a plasma bolt scorches one of your soldiers, but it happened so fast you don't know which one (and to find out later can be a pain, though if it's really hard to figure out he probably wasn't that good ). Anyway, where was I - oh yeah, so when one of your soldiers dies there's a message telling you which one (like there is when someone dies from a fatal wound)
red knight
Admins: Move this into the workshop (it has been formally accepted a design guideline by me). Artists: Start drafting this UI Screen as several programmers had applied in the last couple of days so it is imperative to work on the UI for implementation. [Blehm 98]
Peraps stuff on the ufo itself, such as size, type, and a general assesment of it.
Cpl. Facehugger
Perhaps just size. Like "Small, medium, large, V. Large, Uber large, and Mothership." We don't want to make it have too much extraneous information.
MagicAndy
this is a cracking idea, woul you have the list fully expanded, contracted, half-half, as player last left it or what? I would also consider having a BIG gap between the scores and sub scores to prevent confusion - Xcorp Operatives Killed (2).................................-80--------------Cpt. John Adams........-40--------------Sgt. Jack Daniels........-
red knight
Mhh I guess that I couldnt express properly the idea... The artists department should be starting to use the UI Test demo to script the Graphics User Interface windows (that includes backgrounds, buttons and anything else we may need), that means that as programmers we should get the scripts files (.overlay) to integrate in Xenocide UI. Anyone has any question regarding this very very important task??? BTW Please some admin move this into the graphics department forum. It should be 540 points. You counted the dead soldiers twice. Not to say that I know everything about killing dead soldiers... Micah1, we hardly knew ye!
