I was conducting an experiment. 1500 hours is a little more than a day. So the number of users active should have kept building and building but it did not, it got as high as 70ish then dropped (how could it drop)? :huh?:

I also want to see if max number on line was simply the highest value of "active in the last X" or if it means truely the number on-line at one moment; this still isn't clear.

That is odd. I had noted that the count dropped, but thought that maybe when people log off, the count gets skewed? Well, that doesn't seem likely, though.

Still, there were more people counted than normal (maybe ~10 times the normal amount)- perhaps there's an unmentioned upper limit to the time value, say 120 or 150 minutes?

Or perhaps it is working properly?

Maybe the same 70-odd people are visiting the site, and the number went down because some of the "active" people went beyond the 1500 minute scope?
