Hi,

I extraced all the nice, but "old" weapons and made new ones... :happybanana:

And now I face the problem, that my WinXp doesn't work with pck_view.exe or PckView.exe properly. I cannot implement my new weapons!!

Argh! :crying:

Is there another pck-editor? Is there some other thing I can do?

:master: Or would someone else implement these for me, and send me the new *.pck-files?

But a good solution for making my programm workíng would be even better!

Anyone got an idea?

Have you tried installing microsoft's .net framework? pckview.exe requires the framework to run.

You could also ask the editor's author, Daishiva at www.daishiva.com

Yes, I installed the net.-programm. Long time ago.... :D

The other programms do work very good! :D
The pckviewe.exe, too. But when opening the bigobs.pck it crashes.

I already sent an email to the author, but until now there was no response.

But I also sent the error-quoting.... so the answer might take some time....

Noone else got problems while editing bigobs.pck?

Hmm... you might try asking over x-com.co.uk. Daishiva and a number of his fans, such as BladeFireLight, hang out in their forums.

in fact, the official homepage of the program (http://www.daishiva.com/) has a forum too now.
It might be possible you need XCview for the BIGOBS.PCK file instead of pckview.

XCview didn't work with the bigobs.pck either. Although it worked completely perfect with big files. But not with the bigobs....

bigobs.pck is the only file that XCview or PCKview don't open, still haven't figured out why. again, you should try contacting the author, Daishiva. i don't bother :P

too bad, now you will never know the ancient secrets of supsupers long gone avatar ;)

I have finally gotten around to updating pckView. Now it will open the bigobs.pck file as well as the singular bigob_xx.pck for ufo
