Ok, i hear that there is some bug that all difficulties are the same, but i have the Xcom UFO defence Gold edition that came with the PC Gamer Old school game CD...

Do i have to patch it at all to get the difficulty to be hard?

I dont know if the aliens becomes smarter but there's surely alot more of them in superhuman compared to beginner. (Gold Ed.)

And at 'beginner' 1) the aliens are carrying plasma pistols a lot more often than the heavy stuff 2) there is a lot less UFO-activity in the first months 3) I recall something about the osg mentioning that the stat of the aliens are higher on higher difficulty.

Accually, there is always a horde of alien warships flying around on superhuman.

The version that came with PC Gamer is the same as the Collector's edition, so the difficulty levels should be adjusted correctly. If you play a lot of UFO Defense, then you'll probably recognize the differences a lot more, seeing a lot more mutons early in the game and more terror missions (at night).

yea... the muttons are out in full force... maybe i am just really good, cause i played about 5 beginner games, so i know exactly what to do, dispite how hard it is...
