Facilities destroyed by alien retaliation

Hello,

 

I've been playing a Superhuman ironman (no reloads) game. I had my base attacked and after the attack, two of the three Workshops were gone. I know this because I suddenly had no workshop space and many idle engineers. I've played XCOM several times over the years, and this is the first I recall any facility being destroyed by an alien retaliation. Note I mean facility not base. I've definitely lost undefended bases before.

 

So is this a Superhuman feature or an XComUtil feature?

it's a regular feature, if those workshops were not connected to the rest of the base by other passages: if too much stuff in a facility gets blown up (all of its content, i think) then it gets auto-dismantled and any other facilities that needed that facility to join to the rest of your base also goes ~poof~


some facilities like Access Lift and iirc General Stores are immune to this sort of damage. A bit of searching on ufopedia.org should turn something up...
