Garo
IRC. It's not a real instant messaging program, but it's something much better. Personally, I have MSN and ICQ accounts, but I use them over my irc client. Much easier, no need to install multiple different programs, just a simple SSH client is enough. Personally, I don't get why IM programs are so popular :/ - Garo
[Blehm 98]
I actually like MSN more, but I prefer AIM, specifically because i don't have to switch windows over and over again
Garo
Also, I think that IRC is much better over "traditional" IM programs, because you can only say "Connect to irc.quakenet.org and join channel #xenocide and you'll find the developers, contributors and all who are interested in Xenocide" (that is, if ppl would use IRC here, at least I'm there ) Instead, with IM, you have to find the email addresses, ICQ numbers etc for everybody who you wish to contact, and many times you also have to wait them to accept you as a contact friend. Much harder, in my opinition. With IRC, you just join the channel and start to talk, and everybody will instantly see what you say. Try it, it's fun (and addictive ) - Garo edit: chaned the network to QuakeNet, because It's easier to find servers into it. Guest Azrael
I prefer MSN, mainly because nearly everyone I know use it. I used to use Trillian though, I could use my MSN and AIM accounts with a single program
