  1. Firstly, Ignore my above post, it was written out of spite. no one is to blame for the stall, people just outgrow projects. You definately could be a lot more accommodating to others however be it by posting usefull stuff or just leaving people to find out for themselves The fact that you have replied to this topic was redundant. If you didnt have anything constructive to say, why post at all? I sure didnt and just served to agitate the situation furthur. Ill leave my post there as im being an even bigger troll myself but it pisses me off when you lash out at people who ask a question or simply want to know whats happening. Notice how Nachtowolf or Serge or Sanami dont come barrelling in to wage holy war against the unwashed masses when somone asks for an update? he has better things to do. So do you Kratos and so do i.   4. any progress is good progress even if it isnt readily visible from the outside.
  5. itd be fantastic if someone cleared up the code. It will be most beneficial to programmers working with the code at the moment because they wont have to tip-toe around everything for fear of braking something completely unforeseen.

  9. some new ideas for some weapons some based on the idea Stubbs mentioned in another thread. A Weapon that berserks units separate to psi amp. Some of these weapons require beserk implemented these elaborations require at minimal the ability to berserk units. Psychosis gun: Unit will attack friendly units and ignore hostiles. Unit will not be controllable by either play and will remain in one place (though to make it interesting he should be blessed with 360 degree visibility while under influence so that frontline units wont just keep staring at the enemy) for X turns Nerve Gas: Removes all Stamina from a unit in radius of cloud (would act as fire or smoke does but itd be GREEN!) Nerve Gas 2: causes all units within radius of effect to berserk until dissipation EMP grenade: Removes control of a unit and dims him while active but he can still react (IE you can send him commands cause hes no radio)
  10. it would be nice to have a fire mode that, Although not actively taking over an enemy unit, would flag that unit as an enemy to friendly units IE Warp opponent squads perception. Also, dont forget Beserk.
  11. UFO2000 exists because of x-com. I can't see how you can beat a game down because of its date. And I'm not trying to remove anything genetically x-com. You misunderstand completely. I'm want anything that isn't UFO2000 official content out of there. If it doesn't represent UFO2000, why is it in there? The only other content that should be in there is X-com and TFTD because they EARNED that right. I dont 'Beat Down' Xcom as you so beleive, I merely made a reference to the number of Bugs inherent in the games. Dont get me wrong, i like XEU and TFTD but when i want to play them ill play THEM. UFO2000 Exists to reproduce an Aspect of Xcom, that aspect being the battlescape. IF UFO2000 had been intended to port Xcom then dont you think it odd that no one bothered to add geoscape stuff and scenarios early on? Again! You intend fully to remove the Soul of UFO2000!
  12. you are correct we WERE! based on Xcom, the game moved away from that a long time ago. By your reasoning youd be happy if there was NO possible way to add anything at all in which case what you intended to imply would be that UFO2000 has always been a simple Port of Xcom and nothing more. Clearly this is not the case or Most if not all of the original Xcom features would have been implemented. is that right? well i return to a statement i made awhile ago: since your on a crusade to remove anything not Genetically Xcom why dont you change the name back to Xcom-Gladiators because you will be removing the 'Soul' as you put it, of UFO2000 Turning somthing that was flexible and interesting to work with into a carbon copy of a dated buggy game. So what? we should just scrap all the various work Serge and Nachtwolf and the other Code ninjas have done over the recent months because you want to bend the game to what you think it should be? And dont Bother trying to lay down the Guilt trip. The older inactive developers obviously did not see a future for this game or they would still be helping to work on it (Since they would have a far better knowledge of the code that somone trying to dig through messy un-commented cludgy code). As far is i am concerned at this stage you can take YOUR game and continue to do with it what your please. Ill have no part of ruining ufo2000 so you can satisfy your need for nostalgia trips! Ill have no more part of this discussion or game.
  13. I sort of agree but i dont. UFO2K isnt Xcom which is why weve spent so much time moving away from those parts. If you ask me, it should be the entire Xcom game that should be removed other wise we might as well just change the name back to X-com Gladiators and flick the big finger to the rest of the copyright issues we were trying to avaoid in the first place ...

  15. i agree, Scale 2X should be and option, not a default. Also, the default resolutions should be 1440X960. Or we could simply have an option in the menu that allows you to change teh screen size from inside the game?
