Isn't the formula correct then? I copied it exactly as you wrote it in the announcement.

Here's an excel sheet.

EDIT: quoting

* If there are 20 points awarded by the Xenocide Members, then 21 points are going to be awarded by the general public.

* The counting procedure will distribute the points uniformly based on the porcentage of votes obtained by non Xenocide Members.

* The formula for the points awarded is P = Floor( Percentage ( Votes, TotalVotes ) * 21 )

That 21 is an example of the xenocide member votes + 1. The Floor function also embraces the whole formula.

Litteral copy in Excel is: =FLOOR(((D2/$D$7)*100)*(D2 + 1);1) whereas D7 is the total votes and D2 the actual votes of the participant.

You could have meant Forum Member votes percentage to total votes per contestant. But there are no Xenocide Forum members that have voted as it was not possible. So I don't see the fault in this.

cheers,

Thomas

Hey Thomas! Congratulations!!! =b

Very nice pieces of music indeed. I am particularly glad that the team voted for their sound lead's inspiration, as this proves that the team's vision is focused and that is an important factor for any group effort. I enjoyed talking to you over the past few weeks and I really liked your personality. :)

I wish a trouble-free development to the entire team and if there's anything I could do, don't hesitate to ask.

Dimitris.

Hi Dimitris!

Yes, all the music pieces were great! I really appreciate the effort everyone put into this contest. Maybe we could put the others as bonus tracks on the cd as well. I'll ask Red Knight later.

Btw, it's a honor to know you and to have you on the team!

cya later,

Thomas

I hope we get to see more of your work in Xenocide, Dimitris, it was excellent, as I hope I get to see more of Eduardo Tarilonte and Arnaud Geeraert. (Not so crazy about hearing more from this guy... this "Thomas Torfs".. I don't think he knows what he's doing :P JK)

Hello !

First congratulations to all the participants ! They've made such a fine work !

Especially to Thomas, the winner ! =b

From yours works guys, I've learnt much more I thought, in terms of composition, harmony, orchestration, atmosphere, mixing... It's an "opening mind" experience.

You can be can very proud of your compositions, guys !!!

I've been such an idiot not to think about one thing that has been said in this forum : I've a band, we play symphonic progressive metal music. How did I not think to make a composition in this kind of music, my musicians are so talentfull !!!! That's would be my only regret. OMFG

Maybe for the ending theme contest ? :D

Arnaud

Hello everybody !

I'm wondering what can represent the job in the sound department for the Project Xenocide, in terms of quantity of work, time, tasks...

It would be a pleasure to bring something to the project, but without being a burden for you because my band takes me a lot of time...I speak to you with honesty ! ;)

I didn't want to be the one to tell you, but the work involves partial nudity and pole dancing in ATeX's office.

And you just don't want to know what CTD membership involves...

And getting into CTD was a cakewalk compared to getting into the Programming team. :-)

From what was it? Several hundred points to 29? Hehehehe

Slight miscalculation there Atex LOL

Anyhow, here's to more audio delights :)
