eamon
Hi all I am new to this project, I asked for a chance to try my hand at the "Groundbattle win/lose music". I am new to writing music (so don't laugh too hard). I think that these two clips should be simple as they are backround music. Well here is the WIP(s). What do you think? -Groundbattle win (I am going for a sort of marching back from battle sound)Clasic_win.oggClassic_win.mp3-Groundbattle lose (it is a dark day for humans)End_lose.oggEnd_lose.mp3 NOTE#1: (I will make any final versions about one minuet and they will loop) NOTE#2: (the Groundbattle lose "WIP" might also be good for the end of a "bad" month report)
mikker
Ok, although the first is a bit too long for a win game. I mean, there is a single screen, and it drops when you click ok. the lose one kinda makes me think of ghosts not aliens
JakeDrake
Welcome to da' Project eamon! Its great to see more activity in this sector. As for your first attempts have you listened to all the other songs posted in the forums yet? You should probably try to match their style, tone, and mood. For the win song, it sounds a little TOO upbeat; like I just defeated the evil King Bowser or something. I would expect something like "alright we won!...but the war is far from over..." I like what you ahve done though, perhaps it could be fit in somewhere. For the lose song, I sorta agree with mikker here. The waawaa effect is too "haunted house" for my tastes. It might be able to work if toned down some. Keep trying! I hope you stick around cuz we need more sound people.
fux0r666
My only beef with the stucture of the win music is that the intro is too long. The win/lose screen is just a splash screen with some statistics on it. It won't be displayed for too long. You might want the music is get to the point within a couple of bars. mikker
it should be slower. That would help.

mikker
This post has been edited by eamon: Today, 05:38 PM mikker Today, 05:34 PM clearly, i ment the lose one It should be quite a bit less upbeat. Think of: "We did bad, 5 minutes silence for the fallen " kinda, not too much in there. But just make it slower, and see from there. But this also sounds better. GJ so far.
