Brick-To-Face
Well, I hear 8.x is coming out soon, or so the news say. So I was thinking: A lot of people have really good ideas, but it's hard to get them out. I propose a think tank setting, for a day at least, where there is an active discussion about new ideas for future improvements. Users can complain, programmers can tell us what's too hard, and admins can whine about how much money it takes to run a server. Anyway, there are many ways to set up a thing lke this, obviously it has to be chat-based, irc works out quite well usually. And the last important thing we need is a leader, someone who's avaliable all day, and tolerant enough, and also know enough about how things work.Anyway, I'm not going to get carried away into a 3 page ramble, you guys can figure out wether or not you want to try this. Like I often say, "I dunno, just an idea..." Here's an example:Leader: user1 wants to speak about screen resolution.Programmer1: okProgrammer2: Let him speak!Programmer3: Sureuser1 gets voiceuser1: So, if the resolution is set to max, f10 doesn't workuser1: is it possible to auto-lower the res when that happens?Programmer2: sounds pretty hard, anyone ever do something like thatProgrammer1: nopeProgrammer4: neverProgrammer5: Yeah, it's easyProgrammer: ok then, I guessLeader: voteProgrammer1: yayProgrammer5: yayProgrammer4: withheldProgrammer3: yayProgrammer6: nayProgrammer7: yayProgrammer8: yayProgrammer9: yayLeader: ok thenuser1 loses voiceLeader: next topic, user2 has a proposal for....
