  1. wow.. that was a pain to get. Any one want to setup a English mirror?
  2. What are you doing with the maps on a android?
  3. It's hard coded in the EXE's. (Tactical.exe for the dos ver.) You can find them with a hex editor doing an ASCII search for the file names. XcomUtil's map generator changed the entries for the final level in each game for it's custom sets.
  4. Do an uninstall and then run through the same options you did both times and see if it does it again. I should not be patching the sections the are used for version detection.
  5. I dont expect may programs placing another find program in the path. When I want to overwrite the base functionality of the command line I do so temporarily. to replace standard commands permanently invite this kind of problems so it's not a common practice.
  6. When It does not recognize the OS it tries it's best.
  7. UFOLoader modified the Windows EXE in memory as it's loaded. It would be impossible for it to modify a program inside of an emulator. XcomUtil does a few of the fixes that UFOLoader does (plus ix the difficulty bug) and will work with the DOS EXE. If the GamesGate version includes the UFO windows EXE XcomUtil can also be used in conjunction with UFOLoader. check where the shortcut points to (shift + right click > open file location) this will open the location of DosBox. Most likely the game folder is in there. Named UFO or TFD. Inside look for "UFO Defense.exe" this is the windows EXE. to just use UFOLoader by itself just extract it into that folder and right click on UFOLoader.exe > send to desktop as shortcut. to use XcomUtil Extract it into the game folder and run XCUSetup. then right click on RunXcom.bat > send to desktop as shortcut. You can use UFOLoader in conjunction with XcomUtil if you install UFOLoader first. Also XcomUtil can be used for the DOS version of UFO/TFTD if you modify DOSBox to start RunXcom.bat (this is done automatically for STEAM copies and may work for GamersGate copies if they are setup similarly.
  8. My vista/7 patch is now part of XcomUtil 9.7.. dont worry 9.7 will not force you to use anything like 9.6 did.
  9. I have added it to my list of things to check.
  10. Your output makes me wonder if you have another "find" command in the path. Both the build in XP find and the 16bit find I include for DosBox use that syntax. your screen shot tells me it's not understanding the command Can you do find /? it will display the correct syntax requirements and tell us if it's some third party find command.
  11. try again with the "/" you used "\" that doesn't work.
  12. Can you get a screen capture of the following commands?
  13. If D2D places the games in the program files, doset reset the permissions like STEAM does, and your useing Vista or Win7. your saved files are in the virtual directory. from a command prompt type that last command is start [space] [period] that will open a explorer window of the current directory. OR open your user folder by clicking your username in the start menu. Turn on show hidden files and open "AppData" then "Local" then "VirtualStore" from there open the "program files" or "program files (x86)" and the sub-folder D2D places stuff. you will find only files that were modified.
  14. From the game directory in the command prompt type "xcusetup uninstall"
  15. it's only if PSI lab is researched. I dont currently check to see if it's built
