Hi there.

I have downloaded current version of Xenocide (current fom year 2005 :D ).

Nice thing is that when day becomes night, the terrain seem to be 3D but its only texture.

And now i have questions :

Is Planetscape graphics completed? Will be Earth 3D in final version? If Earth will be not 3D will be the textures more detailed?

Thanks =b

Yes Globe will be 3D for all times, more detailed texture can be added (there are facilities to change the Globe material dynamically in game) and there actually is more detailed texture ready but it hogs square as much MBs of video memory. The Globe texturing at this time takes 20 MB of video memory. To make it twice as detailed (Globe uses 10 textures 512x512 pixels for land and 10 textures for normal maps), so 1024x1024, you'd need 80 MB of video memory.

The graphics ain't completed, we have in our internal release really nice icons for crafts,bases and sites on Globe, although there will be regions displayed - countries, continents, etc. (and, to tell the truth, I don't even know how that one will look).
