I noticed not many people have downloaded the files, but...

I created some new battlescape music and was seeking comments/opinions here, under the maps and addons forum. Maybe you guys don't all look in that forum? :NoNo:

Please, reply/yell at me there, rather than here.

^_^

Link fixed :hammer:

umm , not to be critical or anything , but its a little bland. Nice and creepy though

on a scale of 1-10 , 1 being of todays pop music standards and 10 being very nicely done

about a 5 - atmosphere , needs to add jumpy to the mix

The original music was excellent in both games (although the battlescape in the first sucked) We could always OC remix them into oggs , with bigger better and faster instruments

a simple substitute job would take but minuets , a remix of the content would take weeks but would be worth it IMO. So thoughts? ifin X0# is willing we could share the load and complete a whole new batch of ufo2k CHOOOOOOOOONZ :Hyper:

Makes OGG work in windows media player. After installing, you have to open the OGGs through media players file menu. It will complain, saying it MIGHT be able to play it. Check the don't bug me again box, and choose yes.

My media player of choice.

Pfft , winamp 5.09 - the best visualisations in the buisness. The best equaliser and the coolest skins. Plays everything except ecrypted MP4A's (which most media players cant anyhoo) it plays vidio too.

Windows media player is utter complete Sh** , use somthing else. -25-10

Itunes is excellent for huge music stocks (10Gig^) equaliser has alot to be desired and it installs a multitude of dodgy stuff. 8-10

Winamp is the peoples choice (you can plug it thru firefox too) tell it you arent connected to the net and it will never bother u ever again 9-10

Foobar2000 has a very small memory and CPU footprint. It's also phyisicly small. Very unobtrusive.

With a playlist of over 200 files, currently playing... 13 mb memory used. The cpu usage is so small on my 2.8 ghz that task monitor doesn't even register a drain. Its also insanely configurable. Want to output a 24 bit stream padded to 32? you can. Want 32 bit output dithered to 16? go ahead. etc.

I used to use winamp. Then I started using Quinntesential player (www.quinnware.org or something). Then foobar. Consider that I never really use visualizations or skins. All that extra "fluff" slows it down and bloats it.

Give foobar a try at least.

Heres a pic of the options screen showing output settings. Just to give you an idea. You can also see the player in the background.
