Sinofdamnation
Okay, since there aren't that much players in UFO 2000, And you maybe have to wait for a while in chat for someone to come. The (only) problem is this: you can't do anything else when you are in chat, you should be able to do some surfing in the internet while waiting for someone to come. But sadly, you can't do that, 'cause at least for me, the game just dies if you press ctrl+alt+esc.Or is here some "real" hotkey that puts the game to the background? Or is it only my computer? I have windows 2000 and i am using latest beta...
SleepyWu
Try Alt+tab to switch to another window. You have an explorer (for example) or some other window to be opened. Some keyboards have windows keys (with win logo on it). Try pressing it if you have one. (never heared about such a strange combination you've mentioned) Edited April 18, 2006 by SleepyWu

SleepyWu
Bingo! That's it! I tried both Alt+Tab and f10. Both worked perfectly, f10 - switches fullscreen/window. That's a solution for you, Sinofdamnation btw, you can edit game ini-file and change there starting display mode (windowed/full) Edited April 18, 2006 by SleepyWu

F10 is the answer.. but anyways this brings up something else, Someone should add the ability to be able to edit our x-com teams while in the server waiting room. right now you have to exit the waiting room to edit yyour team, and then you may miss some people who think no one is available to play.. For editing I run the program twice and keep both windowed, one to check the server, the other to use hotseat for editing.
Blood Angel
Another thing to be wary of. We all know that pressing alt-enter windows the game. But alt gr-enter breaks it.
Brick-To-Face
If you are using AxB resolution for your OS, and AxB for ufo2000 then f10 and Alt+Enter do nothing, you see a window aoutline, but it's gone in a second or so since you can't fit AxB in an area less than AxB so if you max out your resolution, you have to use Alt+Tab or Ctrl+Esc to get out. I think someone with free time could improve SkyBuck's pager program, which tries to put you into the server chat... but it's not perfect.
