If you're like me, you love X-Com, and you own a Macintosh. Odd couple if there ever was one. Luckily, you have a way to still play this awesome game: emulation! Here's what I have personally- Virtual PC 4. This version only works in OS 9, but Virtual PCs 5 and 6 work in OS X. The price tag is a little hefty, so get your work to buy it for you like I did, or find a friend who has it, or whatever. It plays with full sound and music. The speed will depend on the speed of your computer: on my dual 533 it plays at just about normal speed. I may use that Turbo program to slow it down 10%, maybe not.

Note: installing onto VPC 4 was problematic. I had to install onto a PC, then copy that over to the Mac. Something about xcopy not working correctly in VPC 4. Don't know if that is fixed in subsequent versions. While that was one extra step, it's not like you can't find a PC just about anywhere, so it's not that big a deal.
