Guest Dennis
I open xcomapoc.exe and it loads the WinG thing, and then it goes into the game. I could care less about sound at this point, though I don't hear any. Instead, I get a very scambled looking screen. I can see what looks like a mouse cursor (duplicated about 50 times) in the background, and when I click around sometimes the scambled screen does change. To what? I don't know. I've tried all of the WinXP fixes here to no avail (short of running the emulator). Any ideas?

Guest Dr. Zen
I had the same problem, where the startup screen with the options of new game or load saved game was scrambled (sort of greenish and greyish tint). I corrected this graphics problem with the following steps: 1. Right click on desktop and select properties2. Pick 'settings' and click 'advanced' button3. Go to 'Adapter' tab and click on 'List All Modes' button4. Highlight '640 by 480, 256 colors', and hit ok5. Then hit 'Apply', and your screen resolution should be real ugly now6. This should correct the graphics problem. To save time, you can save the ugly color scheme by right clicking on desktop and click 'save as scheme'. I'm running a 1.4G Centrino laptop with XP Home edition. I hope this helps.
