Cpl. Facehugger
Ugg, I don't like the idea of making cyborg aliens. I mean, we already have floaters, and that should show you how good cyborg aliens would be... I much like the idea of giving aliens armor though, and it would make sense too! Extralucas
So imagine that was a sectoid in an armor which made him tall...
Cpl. Facehugger
I like to imagine that I put captured sectoids on a rack to make them taller
fux0r666
All of the aliens in UFO were cyborgs.
Extralucas
Sectoids for example weren't. Or I messed something?
warhamster
I think the technical definition of a cybernetic organism (cyborgs is the layman's term i think) is an organism with artificial body parts. the organic and mechanical components are in symbiotic relationship where one can not exist without the other. Anyway, cybernetic or non-cybernetic is really just for look and flavor. In actual game play, it doesn't really change anything.
Cpl. Facehugger
Yes. And I think cybernetic organisms take away from the flavor. It would (imo) turn xeno from a fight for survival, to a 80s b-grade action flick. I still get nightmares about all those robot and cyborg movies: "Attack of the robozombies" "Cyborg Zombies want brains II" "A.I."
fux0r666
I think that your particular concept of cyborgs might be somewhat more limited than what I am talking about. No borg, no robocop, no tubes sticking out, no giant red cameras for eyes.
Cpl. Facehugger
Hmm, well, if you can do an cool looking cyborg that is not like a borg/robocop/tubed critter then I might change my mind about the validity of cyborgs.
