How about when you run out of ammo to rearm intercepters and troops the screen that pops up also gives you the option of selecting the amount of the ammo and purchasing it right there at the geoscope, in the window that pops up. I'm not sure if has been posted before, but this seems like it would be helpful...

this should be moved to the laboratory.

 

anyways, i think those screens should show exactly what's missing (like when there's not enough equipment to reequip squad it should say something like "Missng 5xRifle Clip 4xGrenade").

I'm not sure it belongs in the lab. Something like this would only add convienence, and wouldn't mess with the established Xcom formula too much.

But it wasn't in the original game... sooo.... the lab it is.

Assuming we include a standard load-out for each soldier, which they would maintain between missions, if they did not have enough supply to reload ammo and all that, it would be nice to have some kind of dialog informing you of something more specific like you mentioned- X rifle ammo, etc. It's not really different from the original, since it gave you a dialog stating you're missing something. Now it would just pass a couple text strings as well.

 

IIRC the original told you that only when it couldn't reload a weapon, this would include extra clips and grenades, etc. So there is more involved, making it a v1+ feature. Who knows, if we keep getting new programmers we might have the time to look at something like this, you never know.
