Paladin
!!! :o *SPOILER*What are a Skyranger and a harvester doing there??What IS this game anyway?? Looks like the good Ol' Transport Tycoon!!
SupSuper
Yes it is the good old Transport Tycoon (Deluxe edition). The screenshots are from the "UFO lands on your track, craft comes and destroys UFO along with some of your track" disaster. I had got this disaster lots, but only now that I took a screenshot of the disaster and pay careful attention (and I've played X-Com. First time I got that disaster I still hadn't), i can clearly tell that's the Skyranger and Harvester of X-Com. more info here: http://www.xcomufo.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2592
Paladin
Geez, I did not know thaey had made a deluxe edition out of this one... SupSuper
i used to not know about the Deluxe Edition too. it's not the best there is, but it's still better than the first TT Yes I still play TT.TTD is playable on modern computers.Well, TT/TTD is abandonware iirc, so here: http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?id=1631 Oh and you might want to check Chris Sawyer's Locomotion (i have it ) and Transport Tycoon Forums Glad to find yet another TT fan

Paladin
OooooThat's Real Cool!!! Now if only we had a time machine of some kind... I still need to find more time on XCOM, this is not going to help thanks!! :happybanana:
The Master Maniac
You know what, guys? Let's all put our heads together to make a game and hint at little X-Com bits and...oh. Project Xenocide. Right. Yeah, we're not the only ones who're into the mighty X-Com, though, it seems. Apparently Deus Ex-creator Warren Spector has a thing for the game and went out of his way to included a couple little easter eggs of his own into the original game. It's not that hard to spot them, really...
x0563511
really? ive beaten Deus Ex like 7 times on realistic - i havent seen anything xcom-like (other than the stereotypical greys) - maybe im just bad at that kind of thing. Off topic - i love the unreal engine... so me-friendly. i made my own shock rifle (for UT) that had a travel time and a wicked noise (as it flew by - impact noises too depending on what it hit)... i used code from LazyMatrix for the projectile... Sorry for the O-T , but you reminded me and im sleep deprived. anyone wants to check it out its www.geocities.com/x0563511 - look for RIG.zip, SkaarjGun.zip and NoGib.zip. Readme's included. Please dont abuse my name, address, and phone number thats in the resume - that would upset me... Edited September 15, 2004 by x0563511

AWOL Joe
Another Easter Egg from X-Com in another game: Silent Storm has a hidden weapon that strongly resembles the X-Com Laser Rifle. -AWOL Joe
