Bring Your Title To Home Consoles

Have you guys thought about taking your title back to the home console systems SUCH as that XBOX?

xbox would be easier than the others because it uses an x86 CPU and an nvidia graphics processor.. but there would still be a lot to port. It would be possible to do but highly improbable that someone would take it upon themselves to do it unless we were inundated with programmers who both love the xbox and xcom.

Well first lets have a game done before thinking in supporting another platform, what I can tell you is the following XBOX, Playstation or other console development kits are very very very expensive for a distributed game development environment. So the anwear is: We never had considered it in the first place.

No. To do that, we would have to get Microsoft to distribute it. I don't see that happening in the near future. That, and the fact that it would require major redesigns in how the game is played.

 

heck, ever try playing a clickhappy strategy game (Like Xenocide) with a console controler? Not very entertaining. And getting it right would be a major playtesting obstacle.
