Synovia
New here, so if I 'm doing something wrong, hit me. I'd like to see some sort of permanent wound system. If Joe Shmoe gets shot in the arm, there should be a chance that his arm wont totally recover, and his accuracy will be shot forever. OR, hes never really comfortable on the battlefield again, and has lower morale because of it. If this is done, the problem is, it just leads to more soldiers getting sacked, which doesnt really add to the game. What I think should be done, is through research, and possibly research on aliens, there should be almost a bionics tree. So rather than your grizzled old veteran getting shot and dying, maybe he gets shot and is seriously wounded (is out for rest of battle, and a month or whatever) but he can be salvaged...IE has his arm replaced with a cybernetic arm, which leads to increased strength but less accuracy, or something along those lines. I think anything that makes characters more personal is a good thing. This would lead to people occasionally having that one soldier hanging around whos had both his legs blown off, and has a bionic eye. It would be cool. I think theres should be serious penalties, like maybe hes got real stamina issues because he has a giant metal arm, but also advantages, have it so bionic/cyborg type soldiers can do certain things, or are better at certain things than original troops, but worse at others. my $.

sir_schwick
I like your thinking, but there are already many threads on enhancements and probably a couple on permanent wounds. The one I made will be bumped shortly so you can post there.
