bobman5352
So, two terror sites just popped up simultaneously. What do I do? I only have one skyranger equivalent, so I'm not sure I can swing both. One is a port attack in Miami (my base is at Gibraltar) and one is a shipping route attack E of Australia. If I have to skip one, which will hurt me less. Also, the port attack is lobstermen, so I'd like it if someone gave me an excuse to skip it. [NKF]
The port site should cost you less points than the shipping lane mission, which is technically two terror sites in one (the upper decks, then the lower decks). Point-wise, the ship is the one you should concentrate on. But if you don't think you can handle it, and have the firepower (i.e. sonic cannons) to handle the lobstermen, go after the port mission. You could also keep one site targeted by your Barracudas to keep it up for a while longer. If you manage to keep it up long enough for your Triton to get back and refuel, you may want to go there and then either land then abort (you lose far less points this way), or proceed with the mission. - NKF
Blood Angel
Mind you, if you're still with triton-tech I don't think you're going to scratch Lobsters.
[Blehm 98]
Go to the port mission, then get home, go to the ship, shoot any aliens on sight, then jump away, that minimizes point loss

bobman5352
Couldn't get the triton back from miami in time to head out to the shipping mission. A brief experiment revealed that my troops (no armor [due to aqua plastics problem] and blasta rifles) were woefully outclassed by the lobstermen, so I went after the weakling gillmen at the shipping mission. Thanks for advice

[Blehm 98]
I still have tritons and fight Tasoths/lobstermen all the time mind you, it isn't very easy, but it is very doable
testarossa
Have you tried doing one mission and then once done with that keeping the other on the map by keeping it targeted with your other ships? I have done this when my Triton is refuelling and a terror site pops up. Also you can definately defeat lobster men with Blasta rifles, the only reason I would run away from that is if I only had gauss.
Selmak
Ideally, get a second aquanaut transport up and running. Then, whenever you have two missions to contend with, you have the option of pursuing both simultaneously, if you have lots of aquanauts to spare. Even if your manpower is rather stretched, a second transport at the same base means you can send your team back out with a minimal delay. If you're unlucky enough to lose the first transport on a mission, you don't have to wait three days for another one to arrive as you have a reserve you can use in the meantime. I won't deny it's costly to maintain two leased craft, but weigh against that the potential loss of revenue from not being able to assault landed or crashed USOs, or the loss of score from not being able to get to two terror sites
